I enjoy taking photographs, and have since I learned to use a camera, develop film and print photographs in the early 1970s. After a hiatus of many years, I found the process again recently and have explored photography with the enthusiasm I had as a kid. I get great joy from creating portraits of friends, acquaintances and strangers. I revel in revealing the characteristics of the flowers and cows of my farm. The craft of producing a large, durable silver-gelatin photographic print in this era of small screen, ephemeral digital images is rewarding and profound.

My portrait studio is located in a subterranean cave at my dairy farm on Vashon Island. I welcome inquiries for portrait sessions.
